MONICA LOUGHMAN

Monica Loughman is an artist based in Ojai, CA. Her work explores the moment when outside information collides with the interior self; when eye and mind come together to reconcile time and space, reaction, emotion, and narrative.

 

Monica received a BA in Contemporary Art History and Theory from the School of the Art Institute in Chicago and a MA in Art Business from Claremont Graduate University. In addition to her painting practice, Monica is the founder and director of Artists in Res, a non-profit dedicated to promoting the work of artists moving through the artist residency network.
